This scholarship fund for graduating seniors of Columbia River High School was established in 2026 by the colleagues of Tim Smith to honor his legacy as an exceptional educator.

Mr. Smith created welcoming spaces for students who felt disconnected so they could find their footing, feel supported and successfully achieve their diplomas. He spread kindness, laughter and positivity in his classroom, inspiring students and staff alike.

Every dollar raised through this scholarship fund will go directly toward scholarships for students who have triumphed over obstacles to finish high school. Annually, a panel led by Mr. Smith, will select recipients to be awarded up to $500 toward their future endeavors. These scholarships will serve as a lasting tribute to Mr. Smith’s incredible impact at Columbia River High School. 

This platform allows for donations to be made to the scholarship fund by credit card and ACH for a small fee. Donors wishing to contribute by check should make checks out to CR Boosters, note Smith Scholarship Fund in the memo, and mail to:
